A small mechanical fault that stopped the film feed and affected the side seal.
The production-line sealer developed a film-feed problem that caused the plastic to jam and interrupted normal operation. The same issue was also affecting the side-sealing process, so the fault could not be treated as a simple film-alignment problem.
The faultA bolt from the sealing assembly had worked loose and become trapped around the belt and plastic film, preventing the film feed from operating correctly.
The findingThe equipment itself had not moved out of position. Identifying the loose component as the real cause avoided chasing adjustments that would not have solved the underlying problem.
The resultThe obstruction was identified and the fault rectified so the sealer could return to normal production operation.
